7. move it from the middle
the rule of thirds is considered by some to be the 'golden rule' of photography. luckily, the rule of thirds happens to be one of the easiest rules to follow. the rule requires dividing your photo into thirds (horizontally and vertically) in order to have nine parts. in simpler words, instead of centering your subject, move the subject left or right, up or down to create a more aesthetically pleasing photograph.
it looks so art$y.
8. know your flash's range
knowing your flash's range is very important for one reason-- if you don't your picture could be too dark. flash range varies with each type of camera (point and shoot, slr). if you are beyond your flash range your image will have a shadow over your subject. by simply moving in close and avoiding the distance, the problem is solved.
