hello!
being a good photographer is not hard. the use of a few simple, yet effective, techniques can improve the quality of any photo! last week, my class learned eight new techniques: bird's eye view, worm's eye view, rule of thirds, fill the frame, framing, leading lines, repetition, and look for emotion. here are my three favorites--
fill the frame
i love this photo for several reasons, one of them being that this is one of the funniest teachers at memorial. the main reason this photo turned out well is because i chose to fill the entire frame with mr. frausto's head, eliminating background distraction.
repetition
by utilizing the repetition technique, i enhanced this picture with a natural 'arrow' that points to the focus. the repetition draws attentions to the subject and also creates continuity in the photo.
worm's eye view
instead of using boring eye level angle, i decided to take this photo from 'worm's eye view,' or a perspective from a lower position. the different angle eliminates the mundane typical classroom picture. 'worm's eye view' is a fun and easy technique to use.
