here are a few more tips i utilized in Photojournalism this week...
5. take some vertical pictures
just flipping my camera sideways and taking this photo vertically, instead of horizontally, enhanced my subject's beauty and made her the center focus. if the photo wasn't vertical and i chose to capture the subject horizontally the extra background space would steal the show.
6. lock the focus
to create a sharp picture i 'locked the focus' of exactly what i wanted to capture. i'm in love with this cute new cupcake shop and i really wanted to grab all the elements of the refreshingly 'sweet' café in a single photo. can't wait to go back.
