move in flashy

this week i learned two additional tips for photographic success from kodak's top ten tips.

2. use flash out doors

one normally wouldn't expect that using a flash would help a photo--i know i didn't! but my mind was changed after i began experimenting with my flash setting. on a cloudy day (like the day this photo was taken),  the flash brightens the subject to make the background what it should be and the subject the main focus.

3. move in close

to really produce photographs that make an impact move in closer to your subject. moving in closer to your subject will add details to the photograph and make your subject the star of the show.
